For much of my working life, I have been involved in education across Queensland, the Northern Territory, and South Australia. This journey has taken me to many remote communities, where I’ve had the privilege of living and working closely within diverse local cultures.
Although painting has always been part of my life, I only recently began to fully recognise myself as an artist.
In 2023, I started pursuing painting more intentionally, leading to my first solo exhibition, There’s Always Something, held at Godinmayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre in 2024.
My early artistic influences were shaped during my time at college and university, where my work centred around surrealism and expressionism. These are styles that continue to influence my current practice.
I am known for vivid interpretations of outback and coastal landscapes, often exploring strong colour contrasts, atmosphere, and intricate scenery. My creative practice continues to evolve as I challenge myself through abstract and impressionistic works.
At the heart of my art is a deep connection to land, landscape, and memory, with each piece reflecting both the physical environment and the emotions tied to place.
